I don't understand

Why do women of colour think they are ugly because they are left off a set of races magazines? That doesn't make sense. Each race has their own magazines. Unfortunately the white race made the extra mile in sending theirs every where. Other races do not do that and that is why we have a problem. If we all globally place ourselves you would see things change.

Do you get upset when you are left off an Asian magazine or and Arab? No so why get or value yourselves on not being on the white one. It doesn't make sense. I think you need to value yourself for yourself first. My mother use to tell me people will view you the way you view yourself. If you think you are beautiful than others will. It is stupid and pointless to value yourself on magazine covers. You can look in the mirror and see women of colour are beautiful even without the magazine. They know it also or they wouldn't be getting lip, breasts and butt implants.

As far as tanning I have always been told that is to get like the colour of the women of colour. It looks better. I have grown up in pretty much an all white society so believe I know.

If you present yourself in beautiful way and stop acting like rappers then things will change. I see to many women of colour actually using the image of the man of colour to assimilate to than the female within themselves. We actually need to get back to that image. Being a woman that is strong doesn't mean I have to act like a male.
