The problem is that Africa produces hundreds of thousands of doctors, and other professionals. They are used by other nations and the Africans in Africa loose their intellectual capital in a great "brain drain" that is detrimental to the development of the continent.

Yet, if Africa, Black America, Black Europe, the Caribbean, Black Brazil and these Europeans, Americans and other people who want to help the continent grow and prosper make contributions Africa will surely experience another technological revolution. The book Susu mentions one of the most important such revolutions which took place in Nubia between 1000 B.C. to 400 B.C., when the Nubians made thousands of products out of iron and left great slag heaps ouside of the ancient city of Meroe (these slag heaps are still there after 3000 years or so).

I assure you you will be facinating if you read the book mentioned above, because Africa has had about four great periods of industrial and cultural renaissances.
