The whitness on the Papyrus of Ani is strictly symbolic. Ancient Egyptians often used color as symbolism. While I donot debate that much of the tomb paintings of Sennefer,Snejemb,and others from around Luxor reflects the color of the population there. You can go to Luxor today and see dark skinned people like in antiquity. I am personally from Egypt,and I can vouch for this that sa3eadi[Upper Egyptians] are the purest Egyptians in terms of ethncity. People in the cities like Cairo,Alexzandria,and even the Delta are heavily mixed with other people.

The problem is that early racist Egyptologist like James Henery Breasted,Gaston Maspero,and others have dictated the Egyptology community and clouded the entire scence. Change is on the horizon,but it might take a while,because there is so much garbage out there.

Professor Frank Yurco has spoken on many occasions that the Upper Egyptians were indeed black. Professor Bruce Willams at the Oriental Insitute in Chicago has even admitted that no Ancient Egyptians would have sit at the front of the bus,nor eaten at any lunch counter in the South. I doubt that many rual Modern Egyptians would have been able to either.

Lady Tetisheri has been proven countless of times to have been a fake. The supposed fake sat in the British museum for many years without going unchecked. I suspect that some of the modern Egyptian artifacts are fakes,but I will wait for further proof.

Nice to see you have come around. Sometimes this issue is hard for Americans,because of their view of race and Africa. I would sugest that Egypt is definatley not the only place in Africa that had civlization. Archeology in other regions like Western Africa,Eastern Africa,and other regions must be explored to. Egypt,I agree,is an African civlization,and most defiantley most of it;'s inhabitants were black,but let's not forget other parts of Africa.
