To shortly answer you question as to how African & Chinese cultures could be so different - the same way different groups of people all over the world have different cultures/beliefs. That's like saying Black Africans couldn't have been ancestors of Black Afro-Americans because our culture is different from native Africans, whose cultures among themselves are diferent.
