That is an interesting observation,but the people living in southern iraq are the marsh arabs. There were africoid populations in mesopotamia caleld the iraqw,which some people say were among the first farmers of the fertile cresent.
The marsh arabs lived pretty much like the people in ancient sumeria. I have heard their might be some connection to the sumerians and the dravidians and tamils,but linguistic work still needs to be done.
I am looking for hard concrete data inreguards to reserch and information. samuel noah cramer is the only source and schoilar who has written quite so much about sumeria and their culture,and of course there are others. I don't know if it is true but i heard that sir henery rawlingson wrote that he used galla and southern arabian languages to decode cuneform.
