In Response To: Re: Where has equality gone in Australia? (eloise)

I was reading some articles published a couple of years ago in National Geographic showing how the government is gradually attributing an increasing amount of land to the Aborigines, much to the dismay of land developers who want to exploit thenatural ressources.
Amazingly, the situation in Australia seems to be one of progress towards a greater understanding of Australia's native people, although I am sure the Aborigines could come up with a lot of cases of discrimination.

Still, these things take time but contrary to the reduction of reservation land in America from the 19th to 20 th century, Australia is increasing allocation of land to its native people.
