Ojukwu Was Hated Because He Loved Justice
By Eke-Dike Ọzọegede
He was hated because he loved Justice
He was called a rebel because he asked for justice denied:
the justice for the life and property of the Igbo
And for us Igbo, he was a rebel for Justice
He was hated because he loved Justice
And they made war because they hate Justice
He defensively pushed them back because he loved Justice
And God preserved us by his military zeal
He was hated because he loved Justice
From all evidence, God Knowing the future,
He created him to preserve us by his valour, as He did for the Jews by Moses
And the Moses that led us across the Red Sea is dead
And Moses having died, God commissioned Joshua
Behold the Promised Land. And we are restless until we reach the Promised Land.
