We have felt the exoerience of the American situation in September and is still trying to recover from the trauma. What has happened has caused trust to be in questioned. How can we trust anyone, even those close to us. I sympathise with world leaders at this time because they were opening their doors to help poorer nations. Now they have to turn within and help their own at the expense of shelving all assistance to weaker nations. Another blow is that to the Caricom area. Instead of getting closer to America we are being closed off and are falling under suspicion both from the "terrorist " as a result of American presence in the Caribbean and from our own who may be sypathisers to the Muslim Taliban forces. What are we as a people to do. Outright war may not be the answer. We need to find ways of dialogue to build bridges with those who carry different ideologies. But then we have inherited a religion of hatred and war. We need to address this first then hand the rest to the following generations.
