To add to that point in my previous post...DNA tests have proven the old theory that the English of England are from the Southern Denmark/Northern German border. They conquered Britain and pushed the Welsh, Irish, Scots to the fringes of the British Isles where they took refuge. DNA tests prove that the English are not historically related in origin with the Irish/Welsh/Scots...and rather are more related to the rest of Europe and more specifically Southern Scandinavian. (South Denmark/North Germany) (although the Germans do not recognize Denmark as Scandinavia one may at least call that area Nordic)
To make a few terms more clear.
England + Wales + Scotland + Northern Ireland make up what is today known as the United Kingdom. England (scandanavian/nordic origin)... Wales/Scotland/Ireland & the Basque of northern spain (hamitic origin).
