I believe one of the most trustful proofs of origin is in linguistic studies and also in culture practices. You will see here that prior to 4-5,000 BC noone but black Africans were in the Sahara proper...light skinned Libyans occupied primarily the Mediterranean coast line. The proto-Saharan migrated West, along with his culture to Nubia and then to Nile Valley...well supported.

Note the picture of the 4 people depicted by Egyptians on a temple wall (the author has the Libyan and the African mixed in his comments...but). You have the Egyptian, the Libyan (wearing an African hair style), the African and then the Syrian/Palestinian...no caucasion depicted there! Also, note the similarity between Egyptian statues and modern day Africans.
