Hannibal was African (irrespective of what you see on coins or how bust of him were designed), just as each of us are African, whether we believe it or not, and whether we like it or not.
Modern day science has traced all of our roots using DNA back to Africa. Just as there was a time when white polar bears did not exist, there was a time that white people did not exist. Genetic mutation has been proven to be the source of the many wonderful ethnic groups we have on the planet today, as well as the many varying types of animals.

Once we begin to remove the veil of ignorance we will begin to see humanity as one (there is no such thing as black blood or white blood). Greatness is within each of us for the essence of God is within each of us whether we choose to harness it or not. The sooner we begin to seek this truth with an open heart the sooner we can begin to heal ourselves, one another and our planet (before it decides to heal itself by doing away with its antagonists...us!).

The question should be why do we care whether Hannibal was black or white? Perhaps because we are the products of a society in which a select few benefit from the separatism that racism (the desire for one race to feel superior over a so-called different race) sustains. I’m sure if any of us survived a life saving blood transfusion in which we received blood from a person of another race, we would be no more or less than who we were before the transfusion (well hopefully a bit more humble and loving). Love, harmony and peace…it must happen in that order.
