Hi! I am new here. This is an interesting post. Davy, in regards to your question on Iranians(I am part Iranian) the facts are much more clear if you understand the evolution of color in humans. The current accepted model of the Indo-Iranic peoples is from the Kurgan culture. They are white because of thousands of years of mimicry with the land. Black immigrants would be picked off by predators in the snow-thus whites survived. The advent of horse domestication in that region resulted in widespread rapid immigrations. Iranian women and men really did mix with populations of different races during their immigrations. The history of the name Iran-is that which is hospitable-it is the name our ancestors chose for the land and their king. The king and the land are one. Color of skin is an extremely minor phenotypic variation in people and with the widespread use of the horse our ancestors recognized that. I agree that the Noah's ark story was USED by the semitic people to justify slavery. The Early dynasty of Israel (Hyksos/King David and Solomon) also enslaved Iranic peoples. Therefore, the white Kurgan indo-iranic R y-haplotype can now be found in a variety of skin colors. And the y-haplotype map shows the 'mix' of Iran's population from various male lineages regardless of skin color.
