the fact that black people were present in Egypt is indeed undeniable as Egypt was, much like today's America and Iran, a multi-racial society.
The question is what position did black people occupiy in Egyptian society?
As I am sure you already know, the Kushites invaded Egypt and succeeded in establishing a dynasty of their own for some 60-80 years. During that time I have no doubt that a good deal of ethnic mixture did take place.
Furthermore, Egypt-like all ancient societies-hired mercenaries to serve in its army. This practice served the purpose of allowing native people to till the soil and thus reduce the damage usually done to domestic economy and agriculture in times of war. Blacks as well as Whites and Semites served in the army.
The ancient Egyptians identified three races that they clearly knew of: the brown (or "brick color" as they refered to themselves, thus supporting th efact that they were a Meditteranena race), the White race whose representatives among the ancient Lybians (not to be confused wtih today's Lybians) occupied the western desert and coastal area of Cyernaica and the Black people of Ethiopia and Kush.
Looking at statutes and busts of Nerfertiti Amenotep, Akenaton etc...not to mention the famous and beautiful painted clay statue of "the scribe" shows that the majority or at least the ruling class fo Egypt was Mediterranean in racial type.
The presence of black people in that land may have gone back thousands of years prior to the penetration of North Africa by Afro-Asiatic people or this may have been a gradual process of migration that could be still observed in british colonial times in the form of the migratory movement of theBeja people (the so-called Fuzzy Wazzies of Gordon Pasha in the Sudan)towards teh Red Sea coastland from the northern Sudan.
As I have mentioned before, there is ample skeletal and historical data to suggest that North Africa was settled mutually by Black, Brown and White people from teh Paleolithic.
White people entered North Africa from the Iberian Peninsula and these people of the Capsia culture were affiliated or associated with the former mammoth hunters of the Aurignacian and Magdalenian cultures of Europe. Black people such as "Asselar man" were present in southern Europe so it is fair to assume that this area served as a migratory route between different races. Brown skinned Mediterraenan people migrated around 8000 years ago, originally from the coastlands of the eastern Mediterranean, spreading Agriculture in the process and colonizing the coastlands of North Africa and southern Europe.
