One of the most funny thing I have seen is that they take something said by Weni,who was a Upper Egyptian commander about using Nubian Mercenaries,and try to turn it into a racial war. The Nubians in Egyptian armies were recruits,not slaves. It is well known that the Nubians in fact showed the Kemetians how to use the composite bow,so the Nubians in Kemetian armies were not slaves but highly trained archers.

One thing that annoys me is that they label black Egyptians as simply being Nubians. Upper Egyptians for the most part have always been black,and really still are.

consider darker skin to be a negative trait. Such prejudice is the
second challenge which faces Upper Egyptians, in addition to poverty:
racism.
Although I did take issue with the presumably inadvertent racial
implications of Critchfield's observations, Shahhat, an Egyptian is
an entertaining and vivid introduction to the richness and diversity
of rural Egyptian life.
