My comments are "P:"
>It seems that the person or persons who would want to make of ancient Egypt a "black" civilization are not familiar with actual data, but must have only read revisionist 20th century reports on what Egypt was all about.
P: Really? The Sphinx is a negro head...that's not a 20th century report!
>Early records already show Egypt as developing independently of regions people by black skinned people in the south.
P: Hold it right there! The early record says Ethiopia (to the south) founded Egypt as a colony. Herodotus says that's what he heard...that's an early record. Plus, what about Meroe?
>Egyptian rulers later sent their armies to control some of those areas, install forts, and conduct trade with those people of the south, all the way to the land of Punt (Somalia of today.) Egyptian records clearly reflect the colonization aspect of this conquest, and the Nubian submission to their rule.
P: BULL, on the "Nubian submission". I'll come back to this in another note.
>Much later in Egyptian history, some of the people from those black-skinned colonized regions, local functionaries, achieved important positions in the Egyptian administration and army, and even acceded through intermarriage to royal Egyptian families - after centuries elapsed ....
P: You are misrepresenting the record. Egypt was more like the American capital of Washington D.C., where all the senators and representatives, including the President reside. Dignitaries of foreign nations (which did not exist in Europe prior to 2,000 B.C.) came to Egypt for learning and trade. Africa was ALWAYS, even from the very beginning, a part of that exchange! What record are you refering to?
>However, the Egyptians themselves always have clearly depicted the difference between themselves , the Nubians to the south (dark skinned, ) the Libyans to the West, and the populations of the East of the Nile.... They gave them distinct looks, attributes, and apparel. There is no confusion possible when one LOOKS at the actual HIEROGLYPHS.
P: LIAR, LIAR, PANTS ON FIRE! What about the glyph of the 4 people, where the Egyptian paints himself in color and in garb EXACTLY like the African!
>No amount of revisionist history is going to change the clear record left by centuries of Egyptian history.
P: You are exactly right.
>To imply that the Egyptian civilization as we know it was founded by the people of sub-Saharan countries, or that these people are the direct heirs to the Egyptian civilization is false, because it is not supported by any factual data provided by archeology and Egyptian records.
P: WHAT? "not supported by any factual data" are you insane? EVERY historian in antiquity considered the Egyptians a negro nation...do we have to go over this again?
>To know that Nubians and other dark-skinned people began to be incorporated in the Egyptian society over time, and that there were intermarriages, is to remain true to the actual record of history.
P: You must be looking at the new revised record. This is so false, it doesn't deserve reply...but I'm going to deal with this, again in another note.
