I would first like to say that I'm sorry for responding to this so late I just found this site. I respect everything that everyone has said regarding this topic. Let's get to the matter at hand. Some people to this day believe that Egyptians were not of dark skin or black. I want to make it clear that what I'm about to say is truth based on historically accurate facts. The original Egyptians did have dark skin. Science even proves that the original man was black and that all people are descendants of people of dark skin. The original Egyptians even recorded themselves that they were led by their king from the south to go north and settle up the Nile valleys. The Nubians who actually made 25th dynasty in Egypt in 750BC. The thing is that they didn't have to do that to make Egyptians dark because they already were. That's why the Egyptians never considered the Nubian invasion and outsider invasion, like when the Persians, Arabs, Greeks, and Romans invaded. Egyptians and Nubians recognized each other of the same origin, but separate nations. That's why they continued to battle each other. You can go to Sudan today and they have more pyramids there than in Egypt! In biblical text, which is another source of history always refer to Egypt and Africa as "The Land of Ham"(Psalm 105:23, 27; 106:22) who black people of Africa descended from. Ham had four son's named Cush, Mizraim, Phut, and Canaan. Mizraim is the name that the bible gives Egypt.(Genesis 10:6). Egyptians referred to themselves by naming their land "Kemet", which means "Land of the blacks". Some historians disregard and think that it means the naming of the soil, but it derives from Khem, which means burnt or black. Egyptian males where called Kemsa, which means black male(an Egyptian). Egyptians described themselves in paintings and sculptures that showed their appearances as of African features. Herodotus, who was Greek and considered the father of history recorded in one of his chronicles that when he went to Egypt that the people their had burnt or dark skin. To bring it to the future pertaining to today, Egyptians are a mixture of Arab, Greco-Roman, and Persian. The rest of North Africa is like that do to outside invasions and cross breeding, but you can find the original Egyptian not the cities, but in the countryside and the further south you go into Egypt, where the Nubian desert is located heading into Sudan and Ethiopia, formally known as Cush or Nubia. These facts come from me gaining knowledge in various history texts and books like "The Holy Bible", " Still Out of Africa written by Dr. Charles S. Finch, III, M.D, and "Africa's Stolen Legacy published in "New African" magazine. When it all boils down where are all brothers and sister and there is one race and that's the human race.
